These terms govern your use of RoofMetric (roofmetric.ca). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

What the service is

RoofMetric produces preliminary, estimated roof reports for properties in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan, generated automatically from open mapping and elevation data. A free report shows headline figures; the full report unlocks after you verify an email address.

Estimates, not measurements

RoofMetric reports are preliminary estimates derived from open mapping data. They are not a measurement service and not a quote. Roof outlines exclude unmapped structures; pitch is measured from LiDAR where available and otherwise assumed. Always confirm measurements on site before ordering materials.

Reports are provided for general information only. They are not a survey, not a professional measurement, and not a quote or offer. Do not order materials, sign a contract, or make a purchase decision based solely on a report. Always confirm measurements on site. RoofMetric does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any report for your purposes.

Acceptable use

• The free tier is limited to one report per person. Don’t try to circumvent it.
• Don’t scrape, bulk-download, resell, or build a competing dataset from the reports or underlying data.
• Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Only enter addresses you have a legitimate reason to look up.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access to protect the service.

Roofing referrals

Quotes and roofing work are fulfilled by OK Roof Revival (Kelowna, BC), an independent contractor — not by RoofMetric. If you ask to be contacted, we share your details with them as described in our Privacy Policy. Any agreement for roofing services is strictly between you and the contractor. RoofMetricis not a party to it and is not responsible for the contractor’s work, pricing, advice, or conduct. You can withdraw consent to be contacted anytime at info@roofmetric.ca.

Intellectual property

The website, the report format, and the software behind it belong to RoofMetric. The underlying map and elevation data belong to their respective providers and is used under their licenses (see the attribution in the site footer and Privacy Policy). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to view the report we generate for you; we don’t grant any other rights.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoofMetric and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a report or from roofing work performed by any contractor. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The effective date above reflects the current version.
